WHO WE ARE

A Safe, Structured Path Forward

At SecureStep Family Mediation, we understand that family conflict, separation, and transition can be some of the most emotionally challenging experiences individuals face. During these moments, clarity can feel out of reach, communication can break down, and uncertainty can take over.

Our role is to provide a safe, neutral, and structured environment where families can work through conflict with guidance, professionalism, and respect.

We don’t just help resolve disputes—we help families create a clear and stable path forward.

OUR APPROACH

Where Structure Meets Understanding

We believe that lasting outcomes require more than just agreements—they require understanding, accountability, and the right support system.

Our approach combines structured mediation techniques with psychological and behavioral insight to ensure every decision is thoughtful, informed, and centered around long-term success.

We focus on:

  • Reducing conflict and improving communication

  • Supporting informed and balanced decision-making

  • Ensuring child safety and emotional security

  • Promoting accountability in co-parenting

  • Creating a respectful space where every voice is heard

By integrating these elements, we help families move beyond conflict and build stronger foundations for the future.

OUR MISSION

Empowering Families to Move Forward with Confidence

SecureStep Family Mediation empowers families to move forward with clarity, safety, and purpose. Through guided mediation, psychological insight, and secure supervised visitation, we create solutions that prioritize children, strengthen communication, and promote lasting resolution.

Kiyoshi Fish
Founder, SecureStep Family Mediation

Kiyoshi Fish brings over 15 years of experience working with children, parents, and families in high-need and transitional environments. His work has always centered around one mission—protecting children, supporting families, and helping individuals navigate difficult situations with structure and care.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he developed discipline, leadership, and a strong sense of accountability. He later worked as a Correctional Officer, gaining valuable experience in conflict management, de-escalation, and maintaining safety in high-pressure environments.

Kiyoshi also served with the Department of Child Safety, where he played a direct role in supporting families, protecting children, and facilitating successful reunification efforts. His hands-on experience gives him a deep understanding of the emotional, behavioral, and systemic challenges families face.

He holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and is currently working toward licensure as a professional counselor. He is also certified in evidence-based parenting programs, including the Nurturing Parenting Program and Nurturing Fathers Program.

As a husband and father of three, Kiyoshi brings both professional expertise and personal understanding into his work—making his approach both structured and deeply compassionate.
